On January 1st, 2016 Mike began a new project. He felt the need to push his limits creatively, and wanted to connect with his fellow humans at a time when the world was feeling more divided than ever. In order to achieve this Mike set out to capture one portrait, everyday, for the entire year.
Mike wanted to photograph people. He wanted to tell a visual story of how we us humans live in the structures we’ve created, the places we eat, the wilderness we explore, and the spaces we occupy.
A collection of portraits from the project have since been shown at the Museum of Contemporary Work in 2018 and a private gallery show in 2019.
